Product Description
Diethyl Phthalate (DEP) is the diethyl ester of phthalic acid, also named ethyl phthalate, a colorless, transparent, oily liquid. DEP is miscible with ethanol, ethyl ether, acetone, benzene as well as insoluble in water. So manufacturers or suppliers in China mainly use DEP as plasticizer, solvent, lubricant, fixative, foaming agent for nonferrous. Factories produce DEP by the reaction of ethyl alcohol with phthalic anhydride.

Application & Advantages
Diethyl Phthalate is used as plasticizer, solvent, lubricant, fixative. Also people use it as foaming agent for nonferrous or rare metal mine flotation. In addition, we can use it as gas chromatographic fixative, alcohol denaturant, spray insecticide. It has good compatibility with cellulose acetate, cellulose acetate butyrate, polyvinyl acetate, cellulose nitrate, ethyl cellulose, polymethyl methacrylate, polystyrene. Also this product has good compatibility with polyvinyl butyral, vinyl chloride-acetate copolymer and most other resins. People as well as use it as a plasticizer for cellulose resins.
Packaging / Storage / Transport of of Diethyl Phthalate
Use iron drum packing. 230kg / barrel. Firstly, store in cool, dry warehouse. Secondly, keep away from fire and strong oxidants. Violent impact should be prevented during transportation.
